Miss Lily of the Valley

Miss Lily is a fun, easy-going clown.  She joined our family June 2007 from Marilyn at Simply Grand Cotons as show/breed quality.  Marilyn is a USACTC Code of Ethics. Breeder  Lily’s linage is amazing.

We affectionately call her “Silly Lily.”  She just makes us laugh.  She is a good sport, loves to play, and “zoom-zoom” through the house and yard with her sister chasing, then reversing, and her chasing Miss Sophie.  She likes to hide underneath chairs, sofas, anything, which I’ve decided is a natural instinct to protect herself from predictors.  She knows this drives Miss Sophie crazy. It’s Miss Lily’s place to take a little time out, catch her breath, and then go play again.

One day I couldn’t find her in the house, having looked under everything, to find she had jumped onto the bed.  I have my dog steps on each side of the bed, and this was the first time she had jumped on it.  The silly part, she couldn’t get down, and didn’t let us know by whimpering.  She was perfectly happy there!  She makes us laugh each time she jumps up there and waits for us to get her down.

She sleeps in her crate, and likes the safety of it, especially when I get the hair dryer out when grooming her brother and sister, and she goes in there and sits.  She also loves her carrier, which I use when taking the dogs to the park a few times a week.  When I set the carrier down on the floor she jumps in and sits quietly waiting for me ti zip her up.  When I unzip it, she pops out like a silly clown jumping out of the clown car at the circus – with a big grin on her face.

Miss Sophie

Miss Sophie came to us Thanksgiving 2006. She is sweet and fun. She holds her own with "the big dogs." She is eager to learn, as all Cotons are very intelligent. She brings me presents, rocks and big sticks, which I'm surprised she can get through the doggie door! She's is a gentle soul, very sweet with her new baby sister, Miss Lily.

She's also from show/breed quality from Jim's Cotons, USACTC Code of Ethics breeder. Her temperament and coat are amazing. Her linage is outstanding. She will sit patiently and not wiggle around while I brush her out. She loves to play and has even gotten her older brother, to "dance" with her which I love to watch. She is a bit shy when meeting new people, but loving once you've won her affection. The only time she is really vocal is when you take off your shoes, wiggle your toes, and she wants to play with them. It's a hoot!

She is a very high jumper, and a fast runner. Miss Sophie would be amazing in agility trials. She was a dream to train, as she learned quickly anything she was taught. In fact, she helps train Miss Lily.
